Tom McQuillen, Principal of LRD, spoke at LeadingAge 2012 regarding the culturally sensitive design of assisted living elder homes for the Tohono O’odham Nation. The presentation provides a background to American Indian health care policy, the Tohono O’odham culture and desire to focus on elder care and how the assisted living elder homes adapt the Green Home model to fit the culture and way of life of the Tohono O’odham people.
