Yavapai Regional Medical Center Hospital Expansion
This hospital expansion and remodel added four floors and 40 beds to an existing regional community hospital with no interruption of services.
Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott, AZ undertook this $12.7 million dollar project, which added 75,000 sq ft and 40 beds to the existing hospital. In addition to the expansion, the project renovated and expanded lobby spaces, kitchen, cafeteria, dining and meeting rooms, as well as relocated the Emergency Helipad. The hospital’s physical plant doubled in size to provide the additional services required by the hospital expansion. The project also included 12,000 sq ft of shell space for future use, and a complete renovation of the entry lobby in the existing building.
The architecture at the new building relates closely to the existing hospital, with deepset windows and masonry veneer. Lobby gift shop and entry areas were renovated to flow better between the two buildings. The new building includes a full french drain system to allow a subsurface aquifer to flow under the building.
